This year Washington DC cherry blossom season peaked by the end of March! Vida took the seniors to the Tidal Basin, the most popular spot in DC during spring, and enjoyed a beautiful walk among the blossoming cherries. About 1.5 million tourists typically come to DC during the cherry blossom season.

Despite the cold weather, the seniors enjoyed walking, taking photos and admiring the blooming trees. The trip was the first one this year out of many field trips that Vida will hold with the support of the DC Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL).

This year DACL is enabling Vida to provide seniors with transportation to outdoor activities. Vida’s seniors enjoyed every bit of the day at the famous Cherry Blossom festival!
